Happy Friday, sweet friends 💛
This week has been full in the best kind of way. Doug and I kicked things off with our Sunday live at our new time—2 PM—and oh my goodness… we laughed our way through making wax seals. You all know how those lives go… a little creating, a lot of giggling, and just enjoying time together. I wouldn’t trade that for anything.
On Tuesday, I shared a
video unboxing the happy mail I received from Wendy (such a blessing!) and spent some time filling the journal we’ve been working on—the one made from that fabric-covered Amazon packaging. Y’all… it is really starting to come together, and I’m enjoying every bit of the process. There’s just something special about watching a project slowly turn into something beautiful. I’ve got just a little bit left to do—finish packing it full and add those final decorative touches—and then it’ll be completely done!
Then on Thursday, I shared a little gift with all of you—a free printable over on my website. No strings attached, just a small way for me to say thank you. You can download it and use it however you’d like in your own creating, and I truly hope it blesses you.
Now… if I’m being honest, this week has also been a little bittersweet.
I finalized all of Serena’s homeschool paperwork for the year… and just like that, that chapter is closed. I shouldn’t have to do homeschool paperwork ever again. And while that’s something to celebrate, it’s also stirred up some feelings I wasn’t quite prepared for.
Y’all know how it is—we wear so many hats in this life. Mom, wife, partner, creator, cook, cleaner… the list goes on and on. And homeschooling has been one of my biggest hats for over 30 years. That’s a long time to carry something so close to your heart. And now… it’s time to set that hat down.
I’m not entirely sure what to do with that just yet.
It’s a strange mix of pride, gratitude, and a little bit of sadness all wrapped together. But I know this too—just because one chapter ends doesn’t mean the story is over. It just means a new one is about to begin.
Before I go, I’ve got a couple little reminders for you!
Today is the last day to sign up for the April/May napkin exchange, so if you’ve been thinking about joining in, now’s the time. And if you want to be part of the Happy Mail Swap at the end of April, be sure to let me know soon—we’re just about at the cutoff!
And one more thing that means so much to me…
Cyrena’s graduation is coming up on May 15, and I would absolutely love it if you would send her a card. If you have a little bit of wisdom, encouragement, or something you wish you had known when you were her age, I know it would mean the world to her. Just a few kind words to send her off into this next season of life would be such a blessing.
Thank you for being here, for creating alongside me, and for sharing in both the joyful and tender moments.
Have a Blessed Day 💛
